
Oh Mache... How I love thee. Let me count the ways:
1) Simple toss, with some hearts of palm, lime oil, a little balsamic, and some mustard to fill it out.
2) Tossed with a spot of pistachio oil
3) Straight up, no frills, no dills
Ok, so this isn't a best of the best situation, but just my inkling for the time being. I have always been a big fan of mache (aka lambs lettuce) is sold as is in a plastic container, in hydroponic planters, and loose leaf. It's a fantastic addition to most dishes containing any elements of nuttiness. Unfortunately, it's best as an accompaniment. I have yet to find out how to best utilize it as the primetime suitor.
